I feel like Scott Snyder, being a guy whose roots lie in horror as a genre, should understand that Joker showing up and murdering everything isn’t scary.  It’s the buildup to that, the tension, that makes his actions scary.  Him showing up and just wrecking shit is….pretty much exactly what I’d expect from DC at this point, actually.
